Covered calls and cash secured puts traders look for stocks with bullish momentum, even in bearish markets.
Markets are looking weak this morning, but Russia is hinting that progress is being maid in talks that might keep it from invading Ukraine.
If Russia doesn’t invade Ukraine, it probably still will harass its neighbor, but markets are likely to bounce on the news even though the Fed is likely to hike interest rates sooner than later.
After recent declines in stock prices, these 28 stocks have bullish momentum. They are the stocks that are most likely to bounce if Russia’s hint at making progress in the Ukraine talks is true.
The Stock Charts Trend Ratings (SCTR) shown below include 28 stocks with ratings above 55, which is bullish. Ratings above 60 are considered stronger buys, but if the markets are weak, most stocks will move with the markets. That means traders have to pick their covered calls and puts sales entry points carefully.
The point is that investors seeking to enhance their dividend incomes by selling covered calls and cash secured puts usually look for stocks with bullish momentum. In bullish markets, bullish stocks are fairly easy to find. In sideways and bearish markets, they are more difficult to find.
This list is shown to give readers some stocks to look at as they prepare their watch lists in the hope that the markets will recover sooner than later.

Beware
Like all investing, trading stocks and options is risky. If you can’t sleep with market risks, you might want to let someone else do your trading. Consider an option trading ETF like XYLD, which I own. I also trade its calls and puts. I’m an active private speculator who trades covered calls and sells puts on stocks for my accounts. I am not a professional analyst nor a financial advisor. I don't take and won't take responsibility for how other people trade. This article is for educational purposes only. It is not advice. The data presented looked accurate at publication time except for intra-day fluctuations, but I can’t guarantee the accuracy. Traders should do their due diligence. I reserve the right to trade any of the listed stocks and options at any time. I own and/or have options positions on ABBV, SPY and USB.
